whine and complain.

Today I worked on getting an article posted, which of course involves digging through a bunch of source code and looking up obscure bits of Apache configuration that I haven't had to think about in years. Of course. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Sometimes I joke that the site is an intelligence test. Anyone who can update it -- well, they clearly deserve to.

And with all that, I still didn't get the thing up, much less work on my own stuff, or on the tagging and commenting stuff that I want to get ready -- hell, I didn't even manage to eat dinner. But I did defeat mod_rewrite. It takes me a while, but I usually win out in the end. I also had the relaxing experience of watching the logs as requests streamed in, which I always find kind of reassuring -- like maybe people actually do read this thing. (nah.)

And tomorrow, I'll get that article posted.
