Man, I've been missing days.
Funny thing: I originally envisioned this "daily column" as a way to ensure quick updates and summaries from conventions. My theory was that collating my ideas at the end of the day would be an easy yet structured way to do at-con reporting.
And this may be true, but the end of the day is a terrible time to contemplate doing much of anything at a con, especially given that I'm likely to be thoroughly sloshed by mid-afternoon. Even when I'm sober, the strains of con attendance -- lack of sleep, need to socialize, sub-optimal working conditions -- mean I'm most likely near my worst. The reality is that I don't think I've ever successfully posted a column from a con, and it doesn't look likely that I'll manage it in the near future, either.
Ah well. So
AX has come and gone, and it was quite fun and exciting. I'm still working on figuring out what I thought of it. I know it wasn't good, overall -- but I'm still not sure what aspects of it I want to focus on.
