New Touhou game! And it's impossible. I don't know why I'd expect anything else. They've only been getting harder ever since 10 (the easiest game in the Windows series, I'm pretty sure.) Every time ZUN says -- well, not that it'll be easy, but that it'll be 'accessible' or 'simpler' or 'retro' and it turns out that, no, it's just Touhou. Nothing wrong with that.

Finally put together a machine with graphics -- I usually just stick with the integrated stuff, because practically everything I do is 2d. "We are prepared to live in the plain and die in the plain," as Bangai-O would have it. Nonetheless, all the Touhou games from maybe 12 onward have required more graphical oomph than my standard laptops provide, so I've bowed to the inevitable.

Because what am I going to do? Stop playing Touhou? Unlikely. Even though I've bashed my head 50 times against some of these spell cards, it's still fun. ZUN does a remarkable shooting game, and I like it just as much as I ever have, and for exactly the same reasons.
