As an occasional sysadmin, I naturally leaped at the chance to read a
comic about Ubuntu. Leaped! Frolicked! (Much as I wish that was sarcasm, it really wasn't.) Doubly so when I got a link to an
English translation.
The translation's incredibly awkward, but it comes with the blessings of the author, and we are encouraged to improve it in the best open-source tradition. (For example, as the blog post notes, some people have taken it on themselves to produce a non-flipped version.) Go on, go read it. It's cute in the way that it completely captures the spirit that Ubuntu projects -- friendly, but a little ditzy. It also succeeds in the same way that the
Manga Guide to Databases does: Simple characters, but I want to find out more about them.
Definite
moe element there, actually.
